A groupie is a person who seeks sexual and/or emotional intimacy with a celebrity or other authority figure. "Groupie" is derived from group in reference to a musical group, but now has more general application.

Yep, you guessed it, somebody called me a groupie last night......somebody who knows better. If said person was using the dictionary.com definition it wouldn't be bad, don't think that's the definition said person was using.

And for the record, I'm not. To some bands, I'm a fan. To some, a friend. To others, I'm just a patron in the establishment enjoying. (Doing research for my booking and promotions business.)
